Position Summary

The Asset Manager will support the operational, financial, and contractual performance of a portfolio of battery energy storage (BESS) and solar assets. This role is responsible for monitoring asset performance, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project agreements and regulatory requirements. 

This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy who is looking to deepen their expertise in asset management within a fast-growing platform. 

Key Responsibilities

Asset Performance & Operations

  • Monitor and analyze asset performance against budget, forecasts, and contractual benchmarks 
  • Track key KPIs including availability, generation, and storage performance relative to models 
  • Coordinate with O&M providers to troubleshoot underperformance and implement corrective actions 
  • Support initiatives related to battery dispatch optimization and hybrid asset performance. 

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned assets 
  • Review operating expenses, invoices, and revenue streams 
  • Assist with financial reporting for internal stakeholders, lenders, and investors 
  • Maintain organized documentation and asset data systems 
  • Maintain working-level ownership of project financial models, assumptions, and sensitivities 

Contract & Compliance Management

  • Track and support day-to-day compliance with PPAs, tollinginterconnection, O&M, LTSAs, Warranties, shared infrastructure, and financing agreements 
  • Support commercial discussions and support amendments, negotiations, and dispute resolution 
  • Maintain awareness of key contractual obligations, deadlines, and reporting requirements 
  • Support regulatory and environmental compliance activities 

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Interface with third-party operators, asset owners, and service providers 
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly asset performance reports 
  • Maintain organized documentation and asset data systems 

Candidate Profile

Required Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy, preferably in solar and/or BESS asset management, operations, or analytics 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Energy Systems, or related field 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ExcelPowerBI, Tableau; financial modeling experience is a plus 
  • Familiarity with battery storage and/or solar PV systems and performance metrics 
  • Experience working with 3rd party O&M providers and operational data (e.g., SCADA, monitoring platforms) 

Preferred

  • Experience with NYISO, PJM or other ISO/RTO markets 
  • Exposure to battery storage dispatch strategies or hybrid solar + storage assets 
  • Familiarity with data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python) 
  • Understanding of project finance structures and energy contracts

Compensation

The base compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $160,000 per year, which represents the Company’s good-faith estimate of the salary range for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the candidate selected.

Employees in this role are also eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus program, subject to the terms of the applicable plan.
